Material Handler II

Position Scope:

Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stock, and count molded pulp packaging product. Works to load raw paper material into the Pulp Tank to ensure uptime of the Molding Pulp Machinery.  Ensures work-in-process inventory is transported from stacking / palletizing to stretch wrapping to finished good inventory in the warehouse.  Keeps records to raw material used and finished product moved to finished good inventory.  Stages and loads trailers with palletized product.  

Position Summary: 

• Must be certified to operate a forklift truck per OSHA standard(bonus).
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift.
• Must perform visual inspections of product, removing non-conforming quality defects from entering into finished good inventory.
• Must be able to identify a good quality pallet, ensuring all four sides are square.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Keep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control and security.
• Keep appropriate records and weights of incoming paper from suppliers and paper loaded into the pulper tank.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stocking locations of palletized product.

• Must have the ability to inspect all pieces and pallets for high quality. 
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efcient manner following prescribed work methods.

• Must be able to work in a team environment.

• Perform direct labor duties as assigned by the Working Foreman.
• Must adhere to the EnviroPAK Safety Policy and Guidelines. 

Qualifications / Skills Required: 

• High school education or equivalent.
• Basic Mathematical skills.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds or less.

• Physical stamina while working on your feet in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Be able to use simple machinery for moving materials.
• Be able certified to drive a forklift at EnviroPAK as well as to the OSHA standard. 

Be able to work in a loud manufacturing environment.
